14k Brewery run

Back for a second year, the re-launched Hudepohl 14K Brewery Run is an event for runners and walkers of all levels to experience a new distance on a unique course throughout downtown Cincinnati. The race finishes to the best post-race party on the event lawn adjacent to the Moerlein Lager House where participants can enjoy music, food and beer.
Try the mighty 14K distance (8.6 miles) or get to the post-race party in half the time by running the 7K (4.3 miles). Rally your team and best costumes and enter either distance for one of the best tethered events happening in the city.

A challenging new distance with a big reward. The 14K is $45 through Sept 16th then $55 through race day.

The race starts at the Moerlein Lager House, takes runners along a challenging course through Cincinnati passing old breweries along the way. All runners are rewarded at the end with a post-race party. Gold Star Chili, Hudepohl beer and more by simply registering for the race. Runners who register before race day will receive a technical shirt, commemorative pint glass, poster and finisher’s medal.

Packet pickup is not available on race morning. Participants should make plans to pick up their race number, timing chip and more during the following times and location*:

Give Back Cincinnati - GBC Started in December 2000 with a small group of friends that wanted to give back to their community. Since their first event, that small group of friends has grown to over 5000 members (representing 400 companies) and continues to provide young people in Cincinnati with an outlet where they can have fun, meet people, and give back to their community all at the same time. Over-The-Rhine Brewery District - Their mission includes promoting, preserving, and redeveloping Cincinnati’s unique brewing heritage. They make it possible to introduce all the 14K Run participants to the old history and new developments happening in Cincinnati. Lots D and F are the closest available parking lots to the start and finish lines for both the 14k and 7k. Lots D and F are located along Mehring Way between the Roebling Suspension Bridge and Paul Brown Stadium. Please note that Mehring Way at Joe Nuxhall Way will be closed for start and finish line setup at 5:30 a.m. Parking in Lots D and F will be open from 5:30 to 8:00 a.m. and will cost $5, payable with cash or credit card.
The Central Riverfront Garage will not be available due to a Reds day game.
Getting to Lots D and F:
- If traveling on I-75 N, take the 2nd Street exit. Turn right on Elm St. and left on to Mehring Way to lot entrances.
- If traveling on I-75 S, take Freeman Avenue exit. Continue straight off the exit to Mehring Way to lot entrances.
- If traveling on I-71 S, take the 3rd St. exit and continue straight off the exit. Turn left on to Elm St. and left on to Mehring Way to lot entrances.
- From the West: Take River Road or Freeman Avenue to Mehring Way to lot entrances.
- From the East: Take Columbia Parkway to the 3rd St. exit and continue straight off the exit. Turn left on to Elm St. and left on to Mehring Way to lot entrances.
Please allow ample time to park, register (or packet pick-up) and complete other pre-race routines prior to the 8 a.m. start for both the Hudy 14k and 7k. Race day registration, packet pickup, start line and finish line for all races are located at, or near, the Moerlein Lager House (115 Joe Nuxhall Way, Cincinnati, OH 45202).

The 14K route (8.6 miles) takes you along the riverfront, past several historic brewery sites into Over-The-Rhine and back to the Moerlein Lager House. The 7K route (4.3 miles) starts with the 14K and has a turn-around point on Dalton Ave near the Post Office and takes you back to the Moerlein Lager House.

Our 2011 run and party was enjoyed by many with the start and finish taking place at the Christian Moerlein Brewery located in the heart of Over-The-Rhine. As a result of the successful turn out the decision was made to move the 2012 start and party to the event lawn to better accommodate our event.

You will definitely experience a great party where a run happens to break out. Just Add Beer will be providing the tunes.

Your race entry includes a fantastic food spread from local iconic brands including Gold Star, Queen City Sausage and more. All runners/walkers of drinking age will also receive beverages from Hudepohl and Christian Moerlein brands.
Non-participants, family members and spectators are definitely welcome for the party. Food and beverages can be purchased for an extra charge. Come hang out with your friends and family who ran or walked that morning and enjoy the party.
